From 16th to 18th November 2023, the prestigious Son Muntaner golf course<\/a> was the epicentre of the exciting Mallorca Ladies Golf Open, where the best golfers in the world competed in three days of intense competition. This women’s tournament, which attracted golf’s elite, provided memorable moments and a thrilling battle for victory.<\/p>\n\n

Kristyna Napoleaova’s Outstanding Beginning<\/h3>\n\n

The tournament began with an outstanding performance by Czech Kristyna Napoleaova, a former professional footballer with Sparta Prague, who, despite facing challenges on the course, recorded an impressive first round of 6 under par. Napoleaova shared her unique experience, including risky shots and unconventional tactics on the greens. In addition, Nuria Iturrioz, along with Ann-Lise Caudal and Anne van Dam, shared second place, promising an exciting tournament ahead.<\/p>\n\n

The second day was dominated by Wales’ Chloe Williams, who finished her round with an impressive total of 65 strokes (-7). Despite leading, Williams expressed an ambivalent feeling as he faced the final day. Germany’s Alexandra F\u00f6rsterling, just one stroke behind, placed second with a round of 67 (-5). While Williams was seeking her first Ladies European Tour title, F\u00f6rsterling and Kristyna Napoleaova, the first round leader, had already won titles this year.<\/p>\n\n

The final day of the Mallorca Ladies Golf Open was the culmination of an intense competition. Berlin’s Alexandra F\u00f6rsterling, only 23 years old, won the race. With a second round of 67 (-5) and a total of 13 under par, F\u00f6rsterling won the tournament with a 5-stroke lead over Thailand’s Trichat Cheenglab, who finished a remarkable second. F\u00f6rsterling, thrilled by her second LET success in her rookie season, highlighted her ability to deal with pressure and expressed her disbelief after her victory in Switzerland.<\/p>\n\n

In the battle for the annual Ladies European Tour rankings, F\u00f6rsterling emerged as a serious contender, closely followed by Trichat Cheenglab, the Thai who won the Big Green Egg Open in September. Anne van Dam from the Netherlands took third place, while Marta Sanz Barrio was the best Spanish representative. Outstanding performances from Emma Spitz of Austria and Sarah Schober, despite the latter facing an unfortunate triple bogey on the last hole.<\/p>\n\n

The Mallorca Ladies Golf Open 2023 was not only an elite tournament, but also a success in terms of participation and enthusiasm. Edwin Weindorfer, CEO of e|motion, highlighted the quality of women’s golf and the affinity of the event with Mallorca. The event was attended by notable guests, including former footballer Bastian Schweinsteiger, underlining the growing popularity of women’s golf on the island. With the promise of an exciting Mallorca Ladies Golf Open 2024, the tournament closes its doors leaving a good taste in the mouth and the high level of the golf course Son Muntaner.<\/p>\n\n
